Follow the prompts, wait for the install which could take 30 minutes to several hours depending on your internet speed.

Click the Options icon and then click Continue.

If you are using a MacBook that’s the unlabeled button in the upper right corner of your keyboard.

Press and hold the power button until you see icons.

Go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Software Update.

Make sure that your computer is fully updated if you can.

You don’t want to accidentally erase your backup drive.

Unplug any devices from the computer that you don’t absolutely need.

This will erase everything from your computer and there is absolutely no way to undo this.

Copy everything off that you want to keep.
